Pours a light straw with a thin layer of head The nose has distinct apple notes. The flavor is very reminiscent of apple cider with a dry finish. The body is light and this offering is very drinkable.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a crazy amount of carbonation and barely a finger of white head that quickly disappears.

The smell is all APPLES! Seriously smells like a caramel granny smith apple.

The taste however goes more towards those packets of apple oatmeal cereal. Not bad at all in this reviewers taste opinion.

The mouth borders on that medium yet actually finishes fairly crisp.

Overall this is a very decent gimmick off shoot of the Shock Top line. I actually find this to be less offensive than other Shock Top off shoots and would not mind purchasing this product again.

12 oz bottle served in a glass.
Loads of apple aroma; returning to the room where I left this beer, I could smell the apples from a few feet away. Surprisingly natural and appealing apple aroma at that. The flavor is not quite as good. It's a bit too sweet and really more cider than beer. Refreshing, with a smooth body and medium carbonation.

Shock Top Honeycrisp Apple Wheat from Anheuser-Busch bought a 12 mix pack for 17,99$

Look: Hazy golden colour with 1 finger of head.

Smell: Apple juice and wheat.

Taste: Apple juice and wheat.

Feel: Dry wheat and sweet apple juice that doesn't mix together. The feels is crap. Light to medium body. Easy drinking but the after taste is not there. For me it's a big let down.

So overall would I recomend it? No, it's not a bad beer but there is definitely better options.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 4/7/2016. Pours hazy golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of tart green apples, lemon, orange peel, pear, coriander, clove, light pepper, wheat, cracker, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, apple/spices, and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tart green apples, lemon, orange peel, pear, coriander, clove, light pepper, wheat, cracker, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light fruit tartness and herbal/yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart green apples, lemon, orange peel, pear, coriander, clove, light pepper, wheat, cracker, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, apple/spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from tart/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, fairly crisp, and lightly acidic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a good fruited witbier style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, apple/spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and golden in color with a white, finger width head that fizzes away within seconds. Fizzy bubbles rising from the bottom a bit like champagne.

Smell - Tart and sugary apple... like a green apple jolly rancher.

Taste - Follows the nose. Sweet and tart, with a lot of apple and a subtle wheat undertone. Light spice in the finish. Gets a bit cloying after a few sips, but it's decent enough to finish the bottle.

Mouthfeel - Light in body with lively, fizzy carbonation. Crisp, dry finish.

Overall - They say this is a belgian wheat, apple cider hybrid, and that's what it tastes like. It's not great, but it does have some good flavor, even if it's a bit too sweet to drink more than one.

Holy Jolly Rancher Green Apple flavor! A bit too sweet and artificial tasting for me. If you like ciders, you'd probably enjoy this one, but just a little too sweet and flavored for me to really consider it a beer.

This beer tastes exactly like those candy sour gummy rings, the green apple flavored ones. so of course the beer tastes good but it's also overwhelming after a few drinks of it because it's so sweet and tart (I even started drinking an IPA before i finished this beer to cut down on the sweetness and sorta even out my taste buds).
Just like you wouldn't eat a whole bag of the candy, you wouldn't want to drink a whole six pack.

Sampled the Canadian version of this, as brewed by the fine folks at Labatt. The apple is relatively dialed back and pleasant - certainly not the worst beer I've ever tried. Definitely a"summer sipper" that will suffice if there is nothing else on hand.

A murky drink that is more cider than beer, the Honeycrisp Apple Wheat is disappointing considering that Shock Top usually does pretty well with other wheat beers.

Look: Poured into a pint glass and the foam dissipated within a minute. The look is murky does not look like a pleasant drink.

Smell: It smells like an acrid cider and nothing like a wheat beer.

Taste: Too sweet and acidic at the same time and no hint of the wheat flavor whatsoever.

Feel: A little syrupy, but overall a decent, carbonated feel.

Overall: Had to eat with this drink to get rid of the aftertaste. I'm not a huge cider fan, but this tasted worse than most I've tried.

Es un híbrido muy raro, la sidra domina completamente el sabor, el olor es dulce y agradable, a la vista se ve de un color dorado opaco y no tiene nada de corona de espuma, a mi parecer es muy amarga y no se alcanza a sentir el alcohol

Poured 12oz bottle into snifter glass. 5.2% abv

Appearance- Pours a Dull honey yellow with high white head fast to dissipate. Very hazy

Smell- Tart green apple. apple juice, wheat

Taste- Starts off much like cider. Sulfite flavor with a big kick of green apple tartness. Not much unlike an apple jolly rancher. Apple crispness starts to fade into a dry lingering finish with wheat malt tastes.

Mouthfeel- Medium-thin in body with medium carbonation.

Overall-A bit too cider like, but made good use of apple and provided a solid wheat finish.

341ml bottle, just called 'Crisp Apple' in Canada, where it is part of the mixed dozen Shock Top box.

This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with three fat-ass fingers of puffy, tightly foamy, and faintly creamy bone-white head, which leaves a bit of sparse coral reef lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of saccharine cheap apple cider, a further simple syrup sweetness, and some very overwritten wheat and corn graininess. The taste is musty green apples, dissolved berry sugar, store-brand creamed honey, hard to really pin down bready wheat notes, and a very low-key and generic weedy and musty bitterness.

The carbonation is fairly lightly-rendered in its fluffy frothiness, the body medium-light in weight, and mostly smooth, I suppose, with a wee fruity creaminess trying oh so hard to exceed expectations. It finishes still sweet, but not overly so, the so-called 'crispness' of the apple flavouring doing well to emulate that part of the general experience.

Not the worst of this line of fake fruit-addled, ill-bred wheat beers (or are they ales? It doesn't say on the label one way or the other). The apple comes off too sweet at first, but eventually dials it back to a nice middling hum. Yeah, this would be acceptable as a freebie at any backyard BBQ, which for me, means between May and September - now, it's merely a curiosity.

Bottle: Poured a super light yellow color ale with a small bubbly head with limited retention. Aroma of fake apple notes with sweet notes. Taste is also dominated by fake green apple notes with some adjunct notes. Body is light with OK carbonation. Quite terrible with no real wheat notes.

Pours golden, hazy with a very mild white foam head. Aroma is very cidery and sweet. Taste is also like apple cider, almost not like beer. Bold body with low carbonation. I didn´t like this much, not beer taste at all.

341 mL bottle included in a mixed 12-pack from TBS; served slightly chilled. Branded as "Shock Top Crisp Apple" in Canada, but with identical logo/abv.

Pours a cloudy, opaque golden-yellow colour, which is about the look I'd expect from a wheat beer. Roughly one inch of frothy white head is initially seated atop, but it proceeds to fizzle out over the next couple of minutes, leaving behind a wide, foamy collar and a modest band of lace. Granny smith apple is the most prominent constituent of the aroma by a good margin, supplying it with a definitive green Jolly Rancher vibe. A little wheaty, with some honeycrisp apple and apple juice concentrate notes. Very saccharine on the nose; reminds me of a Somersby.

The flavour profile itself is much more well-moderated, though still nothing overtly exciting. Wheaty, grainy pale malt sweetness is promoted to a distinct contributor here, with a mixture of sweet honeycrisp apple and tart Granny Smith flavour rounding out the back end. Finishes relatively mild, with a hint of tartness and some appleskin dryness in the aftertaste. Light-bodied, with crisp carbonation levels that, despite prickling the tongue, result in a smooth, almost soft sort of mouthfeel.

Final Grade: 3.12, a C+. Shock Top Crisp Apple is far from the worst apple-flavoured beer I've ever had - in fact, it might actually be above average in that category. However, the usual "apple beer" caveat applies - why would I ever pick this over a craft cider? I cannot come up with any convincing responses to that query, but that's just me. Fans of the Shock Top portfolio should find this to be an agreeable, mellow-flavoured fruit beer that leans toward the sweet side. It's inoffensive, acceptable in a pinch, and not something that I have much interest in drinking repeatedly.

Another pleasant surprise from Shock Top. Liked the banana better, but found the apple refreshing, sparkling and fun. Not everything has to be a "great beer of rich complexity", which is a happy discovery.

Based on its aroma, I was expecting a full-blown tart hard cider. It's actually much more mild, with a little bit of peach in there as well. It could stand to be a bit more flavorful, but it's fine for an apple based fruit beer.

Smells like straight up apple juice.

It tastes like cider initially, then it fades to cheap beer. I can't say it's terrible, because it does mix the cider and beer taste fairly well, but it's a far cry from real beer. The sweetness isn't overwhelming like it often is with cider. The spice aftertaste reminds me of a winter lager, but this is nowhere near as good.

I wouldn't buy it again, but I might recommend it to someone who likes cider.

Light color, definite apple smell, strong sweet apple taste, thin mouthfeel. Taste more like a wine cooler than a beer. If you like the taste of apple juice then this is the beer for you. I would prefer if it had hints to remind you of an apple, but still taste like beer.

From a pint can into a pint glass. Hazy honey color with visible sediment. Very thin head which fades quickly. Very thin cap and collar. Nose of honey and Apple as expected. Artificial flavor on nose. Mouth similar to taste, artificial and a bit too sweet. Mouthfeel is OK bubbly somewhat viscous. Overall drinkable but overly sweet.

Some things go great together, like peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and chocolate. This is more like peanut butter and jelly Reese's cups, but the machine forgot the peanut butter.
To be honest the cider part was good but the beer messed it up and dragged it through the mud. I wouldn't recommend drinking this unless you enjoy disappointments.

Orange-gold, unfiltered body with no head.

Smells of those green apple Dumb-Dumbs that tellers in the drive through window of banks hand out. If you don't know what those taste like, then imagine a very sugary Granny Smith apple aroma.

Taste: grainy; sweet; green apples.

Mouthfeel: watery.

Finish: dry, crisp, refreshing.
